I tried to remove my PNID and now my 3DS can't boot

The old ID I used was deleted but it wouldn’t disappear from the 3DS, so I used the NNID removal script from GodMode9.

Now the console won’t boot, it says that an exception occurred with the process “act”, which I assume is related to Nintendo/Pretendo Network services.

How do I get it to boot again? I have fastboot3DS so I can boot into any payload if needed, including GM9.

Do you have a NAND backup?

Nevermind, it boots normally now.

For anyone reading this, here’s how I did it:

  • Booted without a SD card
  • When it went to the fastboot3DS menu, I re-inserted the SD card
  • Selected “boot payload from file” and then selected GodMode9.firm
  • In GodMode9, I ran the “safety_test” script which booted OFW (no Luma)
  • In OFW, I went to settings and linked a NNID (it goes back to official servers so you use your NNID info, not your PNID)
