In this topic, I’ll post minor updates and changes to the forum that aren’t important enough to deserve an announcement in Announcements.
- Updated Discourse to version
3.4.0.beta3-dev(after not being updated for several months) - Set up @DeletedAccount to own certain posts by deleted (not anonymized) accounts instead of @system
- Created this Forum Meta category
- Created the Lounge category for regulars and leaders
- Increase maximum message limit in PMs from 500 to 10000

- Updated the groups, including adding more cosmetic options and allowing PMs to Category Moderators
- Enabled automatic bumping of old, open, and unsolved topics in Support. This should help prevent questions from being forgotten!
- Enabled the Discourse Chat plugin for synchronous messaging (basically Discord-style group DMs). I’ve set it to only be available for members at trust level 2 and above to prevent abuse.
- Made a few minor cosmetic changes
- Removed the post-editing time limit for TL2+ and increased it for TL0/TL1
- Enabled watching first posts in Announcements by default for everyone
- Enabled a couple experimental Discourse features: the topics filter (learn more about it here) and the new topics view (learn more about it here)

- Added a reply auto-deletion timer to 3DS Friend Code Exchange / looking for people to add and 3DS Friend Code Whitelisting for Testing Servers. See this topic for more details:
- Added moderator and developer groups to the about page
- Added new display option to the users page
- Added gifs

- Increased the max number of mentions for new users, primarily to encourage using mentions in the 3DS friend code exchanges
