Will Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge online mode be added

The game has an online mode called “shadows of the world”. It’s where you can fight other players on Clan Battles, and team up with other players for Ninja Trials. It was later ported to the Switch through Ninja Gaiden master collection, but the online mode got scrapped, and i wanna play the online mode on the Wii U version (only asking because no one knows its on the Wii U)

There’s not an ETA (Problaby) of when is this game will be supported, here is the list of supported games

Ok, but it will be supported eventually right?

I think that problaby yes

This game will likely be supported eventually, yes. It did use a NEX game server, and Pretendo Network is a revival of Nintendo Network’s NEX game servers. :+1:

I myself own this game on Wii U but never got to experience it online; I am very interested in wanting to play it on Pretendo with others, too.

I would absolutely love that, My friend called Master Ninja Ryu also wants the game to be supported.

By the way, do you need save data from other players to get online restored?

We wouldn’t need Save Data.

Packet Dumps when on Nintendo Network would have been useful, but the time for those is long gone.

There is a discord server called “Hardcore ninjas” and there are veteran Ninja Gaiden Players who probably own a Wii U and played the game online before Nintendo Network servers shut down, if I get the .pcap or .pcapng files, (these file extensions are network dumps) then I will send them to you directly, would that help?

We would also need information about the account used to make the network dumps, but yes. More dumps are always welcome. The packets are encrypted with a key derived from each users unique game server account password (not the same as your NNID password, this is a “hidden” password issued by the game servers that you can’t normally see) which is why we’d need certain information about the account that created the dumps. At that point, it’s easier if you could just tell the person who created the dumps to make a post here directly, so we can direct them on what to do and how to submit the data to us

I’m in this server called hardcore ninjas, if anyone there has a network dump, I will let you know, then you gotta add me on discord, that way I can make a group chat so you can ask them for the network dumps, that a good plan?

I do not add people on Discord, and I do not DM even in group chats unless absolutely necessary. I told you to have them make a thread here for a reason, or if they don’t want to make an account here they can make a support thread on our Discord server

Thanks for the advice. I reached out to some of the top-tier players in the Ninja Gaiden community (like the Hardcore Ninjas group), but unfortunately, none of them have those network dumps. To save me from bugging the wrong people, do you happen to have a username or know which contributor originally submitted the NG3:RE captures? I’d love to reach out to them directly to see if there’s anything else we can do to help get the game moving.

I got one last idea, we create some network dumps aka packet captures, then we decompile the game to find where the network ping files are
