The problem is that every time you register a friend, they appear as a ??? thing.
Why is this bad? Because it BREAKS games! it caused something weird to happen in Mario Kart 8, and then it CRASHED the Wii U, which is NOT OK! why is it not ok? because 1, (Nevermind this is no longer real), 2, it erases whatever players you encountered while playing from the list of users you played with on the friend list (I don’t know why it does that but as someone with OCD I HATE IT) and 3, people like ME want to EXIT wii u games the correct way, to ensure data is saved properly!
sorry if it sounds like i’m complaining it’s just, these issues should really be fixed

Where are you hearing this? This is just untrue.
Yes, it is bugged. You need to re-login (restart console, or switch user and enter again) for it to sync properly. And this only affects the person accepting the friend request.

If it really happens in MK8D too on Switch, then that’s just on Nintendo and has nothing to do with Pretendo.
It happens on both Switch and Switch 2 and I’ve always wondered why it’s in every console MK8 has been on. I thought it was a system thing but I’m kinda unsure now.
It’s just an MK8 thing then. Just a bug on Nintendo’s end they never fixed.
It might be in other games but idk because I haven’t really checked
But I mean if it also happens on Switch, that’s purely Nintendo’s fault (other games not withstanding).
