Just wondering, but is there any way to speed up the time it takes for your profile Mii to be updated in Juxt? Also, why is the process slow in the first place and not instant?

I can probably answer this. Pretendo runs on Cloudflare, which acts as a caching CDN. Images and other static content are cached in order to help speed up their delivery. The time-to-live on this cache is a bit long, though, and without manually purging Cloudflare’s cache, it can take a little while for things to catch up.
