I have no plans to use this kind of mod but I have always been curious as to why custom ink colors are not allowed. How does this disrupt the experience for other players?
Who told u custom ink colors were banned though? I rather think it depends on how, If YOU only yourself the the custom ink colors then Its fine but If other Players See their ink color as custom too (which i still dont get how it could BE disruptive/unfair)
Custom ink colors are banned. This is a rule set by Network Moderators.
I will try to explain. But basically, it would be too easy to choose two colors that look too alike, confusing the players. Nintendo chose the colors in the game for a reason, with those contrasts. There are other reasons too, but this is one of our main reasons.
(This only applies to public lobbies, of course. In private lobbies, you can use custom ink colors.)

That sucks but it’s understandable. It would probably be too much of a hassle to moderate if they did allow it, thank you!
