When will Minecraft public mini games be available

No ETA.

Please read the FAQ before posting.

I didn’t even see the public part :man_facepalming:

Incredibly unlikely actually, Minecraft has some concerns with RCE iirc which would make supporting public minigames difficult. There’s a potential that Pretendo could patch out the RCE vulnerabilities, but I don’t see that happening.

I’m not sure but I know it’s over some sort of safety concerns.

:pick: Minecraft: Wii U Edition is public! :pick:

We’re happy to announce that Minecraft: Wii U Edition is no longer in testing and is available to the public! You can now play this LCE classic with friends again, in private worlds or in minigames. You should be able to connect right up by just opening the game.

NOTE: Due to safety concerns public minigames are disabled. For the time being, use the Friends tab on the far right to access games. Minecraft: Wii U Edition, like all of its LCE and Bedrock kin, has absolutely zero anticheat, so to protect you and your consoles we’ve restricted games to Friends only. Similarly, we do not recommend adding random users as friends to matchmake. Play with people you trust :blue_heart:

I’m not sure, you would be better asking @PN_quarky directly since they are more knowledgeable with this issue!

You could DM via forums, send an email, send a Matrix message or send a Discord message.

RCE stands for “remote code execution,” a security vulnerability that would other people to remotely execute code on your console. This obviously a severe security issue that is far worse than cheating, since trolls could do things like brick consoles.

(IIRC just stands for “If I recall correctly”)
