Updates to GDPR Deletions

Since a proper announcement has not been made on this, I wanted to make a quick post discussing what has changed with GDPR deletions on forum.

In short, we will NO LONGER be handling them here.

You can now delete an account by going into your account page on your website and pressing the delete account button. This is an irreversible process after 7 days, and once you choose to delete through the confirmation window, your account will be gone forever after 7 days. The same username will not be able to be used in future as we’ve iterated many times here.

Please note that accounts will be deleted after 7 days and data from forum, Juxt and all other Pretendo services will be removed when your deletion is processed (forum posts will not be deleted however). Also, I want to reiterate that deleting your account will not resolve a support issue most of the time.

If you are within the 7 day grace period and decide you don’t want to delete after all, send an email to [email protected] using the same email you signed up to Pretendo with. You’ll need to mention your PNID in your email and use “Requesting account restore” as your subject.

Archiverse deletions are unaffected by this, please see Frequently asked questions regarding Pretendo Network and Pretendo forums.

At long last! Really nice to see this development as it makes Pretendo more user friendly and clear.
