At least the server are getting online sooner for some games, im so excited for the maintenance to be over to play some wiiu and 3ds online, idk if there is gonna be many pepole with a switch 2 having splatoon raiders Day 1 playing splatoon 1 but pretendo is still an exellent service to play some wii u and 3ds online! Hope all the servers get back on soon!

The status page might be broken, it’s not official and does have issues. Based on what I can see, plenty of people are in matches fine.

Sort of but not really. The UptimeRobot page (which I cba to find the link of right now) is the closest thing to an official page

is it down again? Im getting the same error i had when pretendo was down, saying connection error when I try to link my pnid.
It’s all good. I connected online on Pokémon X this morning and didn’t have any trouble, I’ll just assume if I do have problems going forward it’ll be something you guys are already aware of and are working on fixing. Thanks for breathing new life into this era of Pokémon. Even if it’s still in the early stages, it means a lot to me to have the online features brought back, just as much as the games themselves mean to me.

I’ve tried it. I can go online in Pokémon on the Pretendo server, but it hasn’t been restored to a state where I can trade and battle yet. I’m aware the team is still fixing the Pokémon problems. No rush, we can wait as long as it takes.
What error code are you getting?
That’s due to the legality check server needing its own updates as opposed to just a game server.
I never knew there was a separate server just to check for Pokémon legality. It’s interesting what you can learn through reverse engineering games like you guys have done to bring online features back with Pretendo. It also proves the 3DS Pokémon games have a lot more going on under the hood than most people realize. Despite the fact they used Nintendo Network like many other games did, the complexity of how games implemented online features varies from game to game. More complex games like Pokémon will naturally take a lot more time to get everything restored properly so that they function like they used to.
