Unable to link my PNID or verify my email

When I created a PNID for a friend of mine & tried to verify his email, the web page said that email verification wasn’t available for the moment. When I tried linking it to his 2DS, the console returned error 022-5432, which I can’t find in the support docs. Any help?

As the second line of the email verification page says, you can still verify your email address by entering the 6-digit code into the console

As for 022-5432, the solution is simple and well known, I thought it’d be in the docs but I guess not since a quick cursory glance does seem to show it’s not in the docs on the website
Open Nimbus and switch to Nintendo Network

  1. Open the eShop and wait for it to fully load or error out
  2. Close the eShop
  3. Open Nimbus and switch back to Pretendo Network
  4. Try again

Once you’ve done this, you should be able to link the PNID, then open the Miiverse applet and it should prompt you for the code

Enter the code and you’ll be all done!
