Swapnote or swapdoodle

Hello, I know I have asked this question like a year ago, but is or will the swapnote/swapdoodle app on the 3ds work sometime soon? Because I wanna chat with my friend who has a 3ds and it looks really nice. Thanks in advance

Swapdoodle is in development, yes. Not in any usable state.
