Since the servers were down this sunday, Splatoon 1 has been displaying error code 118-0006, not because the lack of internet connection but because the servers are experiencing issues.

No need to panic everybody has been saying the servers are bumpy im sure the issue will be resolved in less than 3 days maybe not i can’t confirm but i bet you the servers are gonna be up and running in no time
This is also the case for Minecraft too.
Our staff are looking into this and we hope to have a solution soon. I know this is frustrating given the 10th anniversary is fast approaching.
The 10th anniversary is tomorrow, I need to play splatoon that day.
Technically it’s in 20 minutes 
We cannot guarantee that services will be restored but we’ll try our best
