Some questions about setting up Pretendo on the Wii U

Hi all,
completely new to this,
my Wii showed signs of perhaps not working that much longer, so i decided to buy a second hand WiiU , unaware that ALL online stuff would blocked (except creating a nintendo account appearantly that you can do NOTHING with on wiiU)

now, i love to get to know the community, but mainly for my kids too :-),
so 2 questions

  1. if i make a child profile, i suppose auto with birthday clearly less then 10 years old?
do they get a partly sepperate child proof space
2), is all in english, or can i, get in perhaps a dutch speaking group to for them?
sadly, currently comfirmation link does not work, so i’m not able yet to change my region, but i will retry later

I’d have to check but I don’t think Pretendo supports child profiles currently, but I could be wrong. By default, accounts are set to 1/1/1990.

Unfortunately not, but you should be able to utilise parental controls to block out things such as Miiverse (we don’t allow under 13’s to use Pretendo services though).

Unfortunately, not really. I believe most of the system interface should be available in Dutch but there’s not any Dutch speaking groups unfortunately.

Is your Wii U modded currently? If it isn’t, you’re unable to change your region through Account Settings.

That is correct. We also don’t allow users under 13 to use social platforms like Juxtaposition and the forum. While it would be nice to have some sort of child-proof space, we unfortunately don’t have the resources that would be required to host it, moderate it, and ensure that it complies with laws like COPPA.

I completely agree with the suggestion to set up parental controls on the console to block things like Miiverse for child accounts. :+1:

You should be able to enter the code on your console when it asks, even though the links aren’t working right now.
