Animal Crossing: New Leaf returns and more!

The servers for Animal Crossing: New Leaf are back online!

The newly released Nimbus update is required to play online again on this game as it patches a severe exploit present in ACNL.

Alongside this update, we also have:

New game servers!

We’re opening up these game servers to the public!

  • Luigi’s Mansion 2
  • Super Street Fighter IV

And, we’re opening up new game servers to Testers!

  • Monster Hunter Generations
  • Metroid Prime Federation Force and Blast Ball
  • F1 2011

Additional news

The Player Search System for both Pokémon X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire has been improved! (These game servers are still tester-only, for the moment.)

You’ll get a Notification on your 3DS about these updates too!

To use ACNL online:

  1. Update to Nimbus 2.0 in Universal Updater
  2. Open Nimbus 2.0 to migrate your PNID
  3. To Play ACNL, you have to “launch plugin” every time in Nimbus when you want to go online

I am running into an error that says the service isn’t available when trying to visit friends towns and the island with others. I have the new nimbus update and selected “launch plugin” before opening the game but still having issues

I did this, It’s still giving me an error message. How exactly is it meant to be done?

I open Nimbus, Launch Plugin, Open Home Menu, Open Animal Crossing NL, Go to Train Station, Try to connect online and receive an Error Message. Is there a step I’m missing? I have a friend who is trying to visit and we are Registered friends on the Pretendo Network.

So when I download the cia would it just replace the file or do I download then install it?

If you get it from UNiversal Updater, it’s all automatic
