So my wiiu wont read my sd card i dont know if the sd card is just broken which i dont think so it reads on my pc or the sd reader is broken pls help i really want to start modding my wiiu

This issue is not related to Pretendo.
I know this is not related to Pretendo but have you tried turning off write protection? (The little switch in the side of the SD card.) Also make sure to format the SD card to FAT32 on your PC.

I know that this might sound stupid, but trust me. Try putting a bit of tape on the lock button of your SD card adaptador. It worked for me when my 3DS wasn’t reading my SD card. There’s no shame in trying!

Did you check that your SD card is in FAT32? How big is your SD card?
Windows doesn’t natively provide an option to format to FAT32 it it’s over 32GB (it’s literally an arbitrary limitation and I believe it might be changing at some point).
My sd is 4 gig and fat32 im gonna try to do compressed air on the reader thats been a big fix for my friends

UPDATE: i didnt realize i just had to put the mods in for it to read so i modded my wiiu yay
i had to try like 3-4 different MicroSD (in SD adapter) to find one that work. Most of the time people will suggest to use reliable brands like Sandisk, Kingston, Samsung…i tried a SiliconPower 256gb in mine and it work.
When i got my Wii U, i had to insert and remove the SD a few times, to try to clean the connector pins inside that, i think, had some dust stuck on them so it wasn’t detecting the SD card inserted at first, and many people just keep the little door open so air would pass thru the SD slot i think, so…i guess dust could build up there as well.
