Re-Enter Password Issue with SSSL

I’m using the SSSL method, and logging into my account using my password works fine. When I try to go online though, It asks me to re-enter my NNID password and my Pretendo password doesn’t work. I’ve never had an NNID and my account seemed to log into Pretendo just fine. Is there a solution or did I just log into Pretendo wrong somehow?

You don’t need to enter a password to get to the Wii U menu. I believe you can cancel it, proceed to the menu, and go into system settings.

Check to make sure your DNS settings are correct (primary DNS 88.198.140.154, secondary DNS 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1).

My DNS settings are correct, and I can get to the Wii menu fine. I just can’t go online for some reason.

That’s odd. This sounds a similar issue to people who attempt to use the same username for their NNID and PNID, but that’s clearly not the case here since you never had an NNID. Are you certain that the password is the same one you’re using to log into https://pretendo.network/account?

Also, are you certain that you had the SSSL DNS server set up when you created the new account on your console?

I had a Pretendo account before this one that I need to delete because they both use the same Gmail. That might be the cause.

It’s totally fine to have multiple PNIDs that use the same email address since Nintendo allowed that for NNIDs.

I accidentally made that last account on a old Wii profile, so I think it thought it was a NNID.
