I just realized how easy Discourse makes it to make custom color schemes without the work of making a full custom theme, so I made a Pretendo color scheme! I should have done this a lot earlier tbh
You can check it out by visiting the Interface section of your preferences and changing the Color Palette setting to Pretendo (and saving the changes).
The main thing I’m currently having trouble with is setting the primary color, which controls the colors of icons and text. If I set it too saturated, the titles of read topics get very hard to read against the background, but if I set it too unsaturated, the buttons don’t get the nice Pretendo color.
Also, it might be a little too purple. Could be a little hard on the eyes…
I mean, the purpose of this was to get feedback and hopefully make it better. I did tweak the colors a little just now, but managing the saturation has been rather difficult.
Perhaps the end result is that I’m not a designer and need someone else to do this, which would be fair albeit disappointing. (Rest assured it will not be the default color scheme until it’s good.)
