No Pretendo Notification

I’ve tried both sssl and Inkay methods, but I’m not receiving the “connected to Pretendo” notification. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, and I hope someone can help me figure it out.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I’m downloading on Wii U

You won’t get a notification when using SSSL because SSSL doesn’t require a plugin to be running to send one, but you should see the notification when using Inkay. Can you check the Aroma plugins menu and confirm that Inkay is there and enabled?

Yeah, I think it’s enabled.

I tried connecting to sssl again, but when entering my ID info the network said I entered in wrong info.

You should be using either Inkay OR SSSL, not both. Since you have a homebrewed console, I’d recommend only using Inkay without any custom DNS server.

ok I’ll try that real quick.

If Inkay is enabled (the “Connect to Pretendo” setting is turned on when you open the Inkay section in the Aroma plugins menu), then you should be connected even if the notification isn’t displaying for some reason.

I just realized I misunderstood what the plugins menu was. It’s not appearing on my Wii when I do the button combination.

If the plugin menu isn’t appearing at all, it sounds like Aroma isn’t installed correctly. Try reinstalling it using wiiu.hacks.guide.

I got stuck during the guide, so should I take the sd card out of my Wii and try to use sssl again?

Yeah, if you don’t want to homebrew your Wii U right now, it’s totally fine to just use SSSL :+1:

It is still saying my ID doesn’t exist, sorry for the trouble

Is your PNID the same as your NNID?

If NNID is Nintendo id, then no, I do not have one of those
