NNID password problem after linking PNID

I added my pretendo acc to my wii u now my old main acc says its password is wrong ive reset it to a new one but it says its still wrong

Have you, by any chance, made your PNID the same as your NNID?

figured it out just gonna have to set it to auto obtain dns when I want to use my main and not auto for when I want to play online

Yeah, that makes sense. Since your main account is an NNID, you’ll need to be connected to Nintendo’s servers instead of Pretendo’s to log in.
