NNID on Wii U was taken, unsure what to do?

Good Morning/Afternoon!
So I’m new here and am trying to set up Pretendo to use with my Wii U. When I tried to connect my NNID on the Wii U (to the one I used for this account, “ALiteralCabbage”), it says it was taken so I changed it to “ALiterallCabbage” on the Wii U NNID.

I wanted to see what can be done to change my NNID on here so I can connect my Pretendo Account to my Wii U. If there something I can do to fix the mistake myself, feel free to let me know as it won’t let me change it on my profile at the moment.

If so I need to Delete my Account, please let this be a request to do so, so I can sign up again and fix the mistake I made while registering.

First, I’d like to ask whether “ALiteralCabbage” is the same username as the NNID you used on Nintendo Network? This is a pretty common issue.

If it is not, the error saying that the NNID was taken makes me think that you might have accidentally chosen the option to create a new NNID instead of linking an existing one when signing in on the console.

My old NNID wasn’t “ALiteralCabbage”, so sadly I dont think that’s the issue :frowning:

I think the error I made was when creating the account here on Pretendo, I accidentally wrote “ALiteralCabbage” without the two l’s in the middle.

Perhaps, do you think I should try to delete my Pretendo account, then sign up again on Pretendo with the NNID I use on my Wii U?

(Also I apologize if this is stressful at all)

The thing about deleting a Pretendo account is that the deleted account’s username will be permanently unavailable for new accounts. I’m having a bit of trouble understanding what your goal is here, but if you would like your account to be deleted I can forward your request on to the server admins.

I apologize that this has been confusing, I’m not too good with explaining things sometimes lol.

I feel like deleting my account and retrying again might be the best thing I could do to try connecting. Thanks for being patient with me during this hard process, I very much appreciate it

Just to make sure we’re 100% clear here, since account deletion is permanent - do you want the account with 1 or 2 l’s deleted?

If you want the one with 2 l’s deleted, please sign into the forum with that account and reply to this topic so we can confirm that you own the account.

The one with 1 L, ( my current account right now that I’m on).

Hello and sorry for another sudden message!

Just wanted to give an update on my Pretendo account, and there’s good news! My Wii U finally connected to my PNID (ALiterallCabbage) on this account!

Just wanted to make sure to not delete this account I’m currently on, due to the problem seeming resolved now.

I apologize for such a confusing thread on this question, as I’m not so good when it comes to communication. (Not to mention my mind is currently very slow as I’m sick with the Flu right now).

Thanks for letting me know, I’ve canceled the deletion request. Do you know what might have solved the issue?
