Need help setting up PNID on device

When setting up the PNID through the settings app on my New 3DS XL, I get the error code 022-2613, saying that I may have entered one of the things wrong.

My question is, am I supposed to enter my PNID in the NNID slot, is there a different password I’m supposed to use, or maybe even a different email?

Usually this error occurs when you are actually on Nintendo servers and not Pretendo servers on your 3DS.

Try this:

  1. Open Universal Updater
  2. Search “luma” and download the Luma3ds boot.firm
  3. Still in Universal Updater, also search “Nimbus” and re-install it (no need to uninstall first)
  4. reboot console
  5. Open Nimbus and press Start to finish the Nimbus update process
  6. Open Nimbus again and click Pretendo
  7. Try signing in now in system settings >> NNID settings at the top

Yes you’re supposed to enter your PNID. The error was likely from it not switching over to Pretendo properly; it happens sometimes.

Also what password am I supposed to use? My pretendo account one or my nintendo account one?

Can you reboot your console again and try opening the Miiverse applet?
