Hello Pretendo Support,
I have a question about switching to a new Nintendo 3DS console.
If I get a new 3DS and log into my existing Pretendo Network account on the new console, will I keep the same Friend Code and my existing friends list from my old 3DS?
Or would I get a new Friend Code and lose my current friends? In that case, would I simply need to add all of my friends again by entering their Friend Codes on the new console?
I would really appreciate it if you could clarify how this works before I switch to another 3DS.

you should keep your current friend code, and your friends. i haven’t switched consoles in a very long time, so someone may have a better answer
i just wanna note that using the stock System Transfer while connected to Pretendo Network is unsafe, and you may lose access to the network as a whole.
No. The only way to do that is a system transfer and we don’t tend to recommend doing that since it can cause issues (we do support the functionality, it’s just that system transfers don’t always go right).
If you don’t do a system transfer, yes. You’ll also need to tell your friends to add your new FC to become friends.
