My 3ds console seems to be eternally banned [002-0121]

ok, so this is my 1st post here and some might remember me as that one fool over at the pretendo discord server, but anyways i’ve created this topic because my 3ds has been stuck since 2023 banned because of “nintendo” (i don’t really think they have done this, the last time i was online was with pretendo present).

this probably has to do when three years ago i’ve recieved an 002-0151 ban (maybe?) and then replaced my original friendcode with another one from the internet. got to play online again and until i played mario maker with pretendo, i’ve been banned since then.

i have long thought i had to simply change my friendcodeseed and had no success; i tried using easymode9 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nIsTSpG-VM) and recently, restoring the friendcode with tools, alongside linking a new account through nnid settings.

this might be happening due to many factors, i don’t know.

i no longer play with my 3ds often (even less when it comes to online play), but can somebody figure out why is this happening, please???

Have you tried these steps for 002-0121?

Also Luma3DS must start from SD card instead of CTRNAND (should be visible in Luma 3DS configuration screen)

just updated nimbus, downgraded luma3ds back to 13.1.2 + already starts from sd via b95. yet still, the ban persists…

UPDATE: the pnid i’ve linked yesterday was suddenly UNLINKED as the nnid settings restarted back to setup. maybe nimbus isn’t working???

UPDATE 2: just linked again the pnid. gonna see if it works now…

UPDATE 3: it doesn’t

UPDATE 4: OK, OK. even though i can’t access online services like simply online play, i *can use the internet browser and now, JUXT? i don’t get this… chances are i’m likely banned from multiplayer and nothing else + have to file some kind of ban appeal even though i remember doing nothing special that’s wrong on pretendo (might have done one tho).

While I’m not quite sure what the issue is, I don’t think you’re banned if you can access Juxt.

well, then i guess there must be something that’s keeping me from going to online multiplayer or simply using friend list, since those are the only things affected.

oh, just to summarize the issue, i’m having this 002-0121 error that supposedly bans me from all that requires an internet connection, though i forgot to mention i still can access those things for some reason.

You are not banned. Stop panicking.

If Luma3DS has the two options enabled and is starting from SD via B9S, just reinstall Nimbus.

I am going to make a list of all possible common ban error codes on Pretendo:

002-0102 (ban on friend server)
022-2812 (console ban)
022-2814, soon 022-2802 (PNID ban)
115-5007 or 598-0011 (permaban from Juxt)
598-0010 (tempban from Juxt)

002-0121 is not a ban.

UPDATE 5: reinstalled nimbus, 002-0121 still appears

trying to delete other patches NOT associated with it that might cause conflict

I think you already tried this, but maybe you could try some of the other methods in the Restore LFCS script?

i already tried restoring the seed with it and it didn’t work. so i tried the 2nd option (the 1st one isn’t worth it due to the fact that i only have one backup and it’s not very old) and… it WORKED. thank you.
