So two things actually why can’t I access the servers and please add Minecraft servers
You can join only your friends
Minecraft on 3DS never had online to begin with.
Pretendo cannot add online to something that never had it.
Pretendo does support online for Minecraft on Wii U (however it is limited to Friends only for security reasons).
I don’t know where you got that from but they sure as hell have servers

In fact, Minecraft for Nintendo 3DS never had online servers… it was only possible to play via download mode if both players had the game.
That’s what I mean but add it so you can play distance and download and play wasn’t an option because it doesn’t have download and play
That’s local multiplayer. You can play with friends of yours that have 3DS but only in the same room. There might be some 3DS Minecraft server projects online somewhere.

I’m saying a distance mod and I understand that theirs only local play but what if there was a way to have local play but it was distant
As others have said, you can’t add to or fix Minecraft because the game doesn’t have online services and it’s unlikely you’ll make a mod to make it work online.

I just said this but I’ll say it again: There are mods online that you need to download to your sd card. They aren’t good but it’s better than nothing.
I’ve found some stuff online that may help but one of the biggest online projects was abandoned so it ain’t looking promising.
Consider trying mini craft which also has local multiplayer but you can play it on 2ds and old 3DS systems!
