Hey! I’m trying to play Mario Kart 8 online, but I’m running into a few issues. When I use my save data from my NNID account and transfer it to my PNID, I can choose my character and everything, but I end up in a lobby by myself with no one else. The servers are functioning, so that’s not the issue. When I delete the save data for my PNID account and try to play Mario Kart 8 online, I can join a lobby without any problems. I’ve tried several things, like setting my region to match my NNID, but nothing seems to help. I’ve seen others playing online with their save data just fine, so I must be doing something wrong.
I assume you’re playing a Global match right? I would make sure to check that you are playing in a Global lobby, and if you only have one DLC pack, it might be better to disable it (matchmaking is separate depending on what DLC packs you own).

Yeah, I have been choosing Global matches. I have also tried without the DLC, but it still makes no difference.
This is very odd and I have never heard of this before.

This has been happening to me ever since I transferred my save data to my PNID account, and I always thought the server was dead until I took action to find out what was happening.
