Is the Pretendo custom eShop still an ongoing project?

Looking at this from the first ever blog post you guys made:

It makes me wonder if you are still working on the eShop revival, or if it’s been canceled? Also, how will this differ from the Homebrew App Store if so?

It probably isn’t. It will most likely be thrown away because we haven’t heard much about it. (would still be great to have though.)

This is exactly correct. If Pretendo does not have the right to redistribute content, we simply cannot legally do it. One can argue that it is not morally wrong to do so, or that copyright laws are outdated and unfair, but this does not change the reality that we simply cannot legally redistribute this content. I was talking about distributing homebrew applications, just like what the HBAS does.

Does that also count as content that we can’t legally distribute without permission?

The post addresses that, it’s not happening when the Homebrew App Store exists and it would have to use the eShops title format.
