Verifying by email currently isn’t an option currently (says there’s too much traffic) and there isn’t exactly a descriptive guide telling me how to do this. Any help greatly appreciated!
You can do it by opening up Miiverse or going to System Settings > Nintendo Network ID settings > Email Address Verification on Pretendo servers

when i open miiverse, it just takes me to an error screen

Log into your PNID in System Settings. Your PNID is noodleandsoup
I am having the same issue, I’m not able to activate my PNID through my 3DS since my PNID isn’t linked, when I try to activate it through email it says the same thing, due to high traffic.
Link it first in System Settings, and then you can verify it by opening Miiverse.

The on Pretendo servers part? It’s just making sure that you’ve been connected to Pretendo servers throughout
