Help With Connecting to Pretendo on RedNAND Wii U

I got same 102-2160 error when login my pretendo network id(from home screen),And 102-2135 when setting up new account with pretendo.

using WiiU’s browser accessing account.pretendo.cc will jumps to https one and shows blank page.I assume that is a good connection.

My WiiU is a Japan one with no region change, using pretendo with no problems before. But since MLC NAND are dying(Hynix one, found when loading my purchased games)now I’m using redNAND(emulates MLC only), with original OS is 5.5.3J and redNAND OS is 5.5.5J. Maybe that mismatch causes such error?

Because you’re using RedNAND, that means you’re modded. Are you using Inkay? When you boot your Wii U, does it say “Using Pretendo Network” in the upper left?

Yes I’m using Inkay, after setting up redNAND I set up Aroma for redNAND system so Inkay is the only option. And it also says “Using Pretendo Network” every time I boot.

@support-helper Do you guys know?

My problem got redirected to here, I suppose I’m having a same problem as the op? My Wii U is a Japanese one too, but I did region change it, so I don’t know what could our be differences be.

For now I presume that SLC/emulated MLC version mismatch caused this.

My WiiU’s onboard OS running 5.5.3J, and the emulated MLC runs 5.5.5J.(Same like region change which emulated one is something other than J ending)

Updating onboard OS is too risky since my onboard NAND are dying(and updating OS are not recommended when modded), so I guess:

  • Rebuild redNAND with full NAND emulation(SLC+MLC+SLCMMPT), which makes version of SLC part matches the MLC part.
  • Reinstall redNAND using 5.5.3J System Files, also let system version matches onboard SLC one.

Both requires erasing the emulated MLC, so all my installed games will be lost. I’ll consider this as last resort.

Hey again! I just tried to update my Wii U using Nintendo servers, and when I did that, my problem had fixed by itself. I don’t think it’s that much risky to update it if you are afraid of Nintendo, but I hope you can solve the problem with your NAND if you’re able to, thanks for advice!

Since updating OS absolutely solves the version mismatch problem, I’ll give it a try sometime. Thanks!
