Are applications for forum (or Miiverse) moderators open? If so, where can I apply for the position?
P.S. How do you get a custom forum title? Is that a paid subscription feature?
Yes, applications are always open. You have to be a member of our Discord server and run the /mod-application command there.
Note, you have to be age 18+ in order to apply as well.
Forum mods have the ability to assign custom titles. We give ourselves them. xD

And is there a way to apply that doesn’t involve the Discord? I prefer forums 
Unfortunately not, it was mentioned last time some forummers wanted to apply but it’s not really feasible given a lot of communication is done on Discord 
I’m fine with communication over Discord, as long as it’s done in something like a DM, group chat or a small private server.
Public Discords for projects this large unfortunately tend to be filled with toxic people and other people you don’t want to be around. I’m being especially cautious given how I had to create a separate thread for off-topic because the main one was filled with shitposting and brainrot.
We have various moderation chats for moderation discussion and for the most part, people do stick to the intended title but some moderation chats can veer off-topic sometimes (don’t think I’m leaking anything sensitive here).
Our moderation chats are basically only other mods and developers.
Okay. What are the requirements for the mod status then? Would I be eligible to apply?
Basically what @Joshua8600PNID said earlier. You need forum activity but you’re active on here anyways, so you’ll be fine
