Favorite Mega/Primal Pokémon and why

—This may contain spoilers for PLZA and the Mega Dimension DLC—

Personally, my top 5 are Mega Rayquaza, Mega Greninja, Primal Kyogre, Mega Zygarde, and Mega Heatran.

  1. Mega Rayquaza was soooo cool in ORAS’ Delta Episode, and the fact that it was the first Pokémon to Mega Evolve, and the fact it ate its Stone is awesome but funny at the same time.

  2. Greninja was my first Starter Pokémon, and Gen 6 was my first real game ever, even if XY has mixed reviews, I was HYPED to see this in the Nintendo Direct.

  3. All three of the Primals are really cool, and even if Palkia didn’t get a Primal in a Mystery Dungeon game, if feel like Dialga, Kyogre, and Groudon needed some attention.

  4. Zygarde’s mega really makes sense in PLZA, but it really makes me sad that Pokémon scrapped all developments of a Z game, but he is pure AURA.

  5. Mega Heatran is neat as it’s a forge, but also it’s melting!? Mega evolution really shows the pain that these Pokémon have to deal with, like having you’re jaw broken, or having rocks piercing out of your wings, and also the dialogue in XY about in (I think) Rouge Plaza about a Heatran’s cry being heard made me think of a Mega Heatran being hidden in Lumiose, and a decade later is so cool.
