Error code 006 0102 or 006 0502 in Super Mario Maker

Hello everyone, I have had a problem for quite a while now when connecting to mario maker servers on 3ds, I get error 006-0502 or 006-0102, they alternate periodically, I used to think that this was just a temporary problem with the server or something like that, but now after 2 months I finally realized that this is most likely not the case, and this problem is most likely on my part, although mario kart 7 works fine, can you tell me what the problem might be?

I use a Japanese Nintendo 3DS flashed for the European region, version godmode9 v2.1.1, luma3ds v13.1.2

Hi,

Same issue here.

Japanese 3DS but not flashed for any other region. MK7 works but Mario Maker gives me the 006-0102 error code.

Did a bit of research, maybe you could try this @panda32r and @kosmikonaut ? 3DS:Setting game locales - Hacks Guide Wiki since you both have Japanese systems?

Where do you both even get 006-0102 or 006-0502 anyways? It would help us a bit if we knew

I have the same error code when I try to launch 100 Mario Challenge on my SMM3DS,
Error code : 006-0102
European Nintendo 3DS, cfw installed (so it became region free) yesterday and pretendo all set up and running well in Mario Kart 7. SMM is the USA version and is up to date with ver. 1.05

Note : As I just installed the game yesterday, I have not finished the adventure (10 mario challenge) and don’t know if it is necessary for the online functions to work.

Any ideas or similar experience?

A lot of people are having this issue and it seems like it doesn’t even have an ending. Don’t think it can be fixed for the time being

I got the same 006-0502 error on my EU Wii U and the date is 20/02/2025. Let’s stay hoping for a fix.

There’s some unplanned maintenance going on at the moment, which could be causing that error code for you

I believe the 100 Mario Challenge hasn’t been made to work with pretendo yet. for the time being, you should be able to play any courses from the course selector (unless the SMM3DS/WiiU servers are down…).

I believe the 10 Mario Challenge is just to get sample courses to CourseBot. It shouldn’t be necessary to complete in order to get online functions
