Error 018-0510 trying to visit friends in New Leaf

As the title says. I already checked the NAT type, and we both have the type B (120-00). I updated Luma, Pretendo, Nimbus and even bootstrap trying to find what was the problem.
At this point I’m out of ideas. Please anyone help me :sob:

Did i got pinned? It showed up on my notifications

@Bane_Amesta

Sorry for the delay. I am pinging @support-helper to see if anyone can help.

@support-helper Anyone have any idea?

I remember a case where a user’s support code was changing nearly every time they performed a connection test, not sure what was up with that, maybe that’s what’s going on here? Outside of that, not a clue what might be going on here

Although, reading the post again, a little thing jumped out at me;

Specifically the use of I

@Bane_Amesta, did your friend also try reinstalling Nimbus and Luma3DS, or was it just you? Not sure if it’d make a difference but it’s good to check

It was just me having the problem. My friend was donating some items in the game, and other people were connecting fine, as they told me. I can’t connect to the Dream Suite either.

Also, I know is kinda unrelated, but Netpass works without issues. Honestly I don’t know what else to do.

Dream Suite is currently not implemented

Sorry for the delay! We’re unsure as to what the issue could be, so it would be great if you could gather more information from your side so that we can inspect the issue more closely. More specifically, we’d like a network dump of your console.

We have a dedicated tool to do this on the 3DS called “HokakuCTR“. You can follow this guide to make the network dump and share it with us (you can ignore the part about downloading a plugin, the Nimbus plugin already has this integrated in the plugin menu and you only need to activate it there):

https://pretendo.network/docs/network-dumps#3ds-hokakuctr

I tried to follow the instructions, but it seems the Luma version I just downloaded (13.4 I think?) doesn’t have the HokakuCTR included. What I mean is that there’s no pcap file or folder in the sd card root as the links said.

Edit: I’ll do it the old way I guess and download it directly, then give it a try again.

HokakuCTR is not in Luma; it’s included in the latest Nimbus version via the Nimbus plugin.

Huh, weird, I updated ninbus and still had to install hokakuctr separately.

It’s in the Nimbus plugin.

By launching the plugin in Nimbus and then pressing Select when in a game, it opens the plugin menu.

@Bane_Amesta Were you able to submit the packet dumps yet?

I haven’t been able to contact my friend for a new attempt lately, so I don’t know if just trying to connect online (without anyone in the list I mean) would work as is. Please let me know.
