I’ve been trying to use Swapnote and mess around with friends, however, I need to set my age in parental controls. When it connects to the internet to verify, it gives me error code 008-0502.
Is there a known solution for this? I can’t find anything online.

You need to switch back to Nintendo in Nimbus. I doubt Pretendo supports the parental verification.
would i able to switch back to the pretendo network afterwards? im having the same issues and am pretty new to cfw 
You should be able to, let me know if you have any issues
There’s an app on universal updater that gets rid of the parental controls, if that’s what you need.
Hey, im having the same issue as OP but when I switched back to Nintendo servers in nimbus and tried again, it got stuck on the connecting to the internet screen for a long time before just giving me another error, any idea on fixes??
What was the error that you’re receiving?
it just said “an error has occured” with no code
Okay update, either one of 2 things I did fixed it for me, its either the fact I kept trying again by switching back and forth between nimbus and nintendo, or the fact I removed the custom dns I had back to automatic b4 trying again with nintendo servers. It could be either but ye im all good and spotpass enabled
