By default, TL4 does not have access to your private DMs.
Category moderators like myself or @MatthewL246_PNID don’t either, unless invited.
It’s been a while since I’ve been a regular moderator on a Discourse server, but I believe they do have access so they can actually moderate flags.

Wait, so this means you can talk about piracy on a DM, and a moderator would not know about it?
That sounds like a concern.
Category moderators are called category moderators for a reason: they’re designed to moderate a specific category.
iirc if we’re able to access a users messages, the messages tab would usually display here
I’m fairly sure the rest of the team would be notified and there are reasons why you might not want to give someone like me full moderation privileges straight away.

Yes, full-site moderators can view flags that were sent from DMs and take appropriate action.
To reiterate, piracy is illegal and Pretendo does not support any promotion or discussion of it. Violating this rule by repeatedly using this forum to share information about piracy and ignoring moderators when they tell you to stop may result in a suspension of your forum account. This is a last resort, of course, and we hope it doesn’t become necessary.
(Also, I feel like I should add this because people sometimes misinterpret: this rule has nothing to do with any developer’s personal opinions on the ethics of piracy and everything to do with Nintendo’s willingness to take down projects that support piracy. See this post as well.)

There’s no rule against having multiple accounts, but evading suspensions by using other accounts would not be allowed.
