Do I need to switch to Nintendo Network to update nimbus on 3DS?

Just curious for whenever it gets an update. Also, do I need to do the same thing when Nintendo releases a system update for 3DS? Is it even safe to update with pretendo? System updates on modded 3DS are kinda scary

I don’t think Nintendo will ever release a system update for the 3DS or Wii U again. I would assume so though, if you’re worried about a future system update potentially breaking anything you can look at 3ds.hacks.guide for instructions.

Nintendo confirmed that their last update was the one on 22 May 2023, so if you are on that version you will never have to update again.

Good, I used that version since it came out. I only modded my 3DS in September 2023, anyways.
