Since I have seen secret communities, I was wondering if I could own one since I am planning on running a minecraft server and need an easy way to communicate with my playerbase instead of manually messaging them. I’ve been getting lots of friend requests and it is very hard to keep up with the demand. I will very much understand if this cannot be done but I was wondering if it maybe could? Many of my players do not have discord so using that wouldn’t necessarily work out well for them.
Thanks.
Is it possible that you could use a social media account instead to inform your community?
Like Instagram, Reddit, Fandom, PROBABLY Twitter, YouTube, here, or somewhere else.
Wouldn’t recommend Twitter or Instagram since they tend to nag if you don’t have an account
I’d recommend Mastodon but I’m a bit biased, you can set up an RSS feed with it
since they tend to nag if you don’t have an account
Well, it seems pretty easy to set up an account. I did that back in 2017/2018.
Not everyone wants to set up an account for various reasons. Twitter can be very toxic, and besides Nitter works fine for browsing Twitter when necessary.
Is that a mod/reskin/ripoff of Twitter?
Also, Twitter isn’t toxic if you follow one or two genuinely nice/cool people on it and ONLY keep up with their posts and comment on said posts.
No, it’s another way to browse Twitter, helpful if you don’t have an account as things are sorted chronologically.
It depends on how the algorithm serves you I guess.

But doesn’t Twitter operate chronologically already?

Well, yes. Or how often you decide to use it.
Ohhh, I see. That’s pretty neat!
I’ve considered it, but I would have to see if all of my friends had those apps. You have to think, many of these people are children or people from different countries who might not have access or something else. Although many people do have social media, many also do not. I only requested this because I know that everyone who friends me has miiverse so I thought it would be a perfect place to hold a community. It may seem farfetched and that’s fine; I just wanted something that I know the playerbase has.
I could try youtube. But i dont know how to record on wii u and send it to my pc or tablet to edit
Children (under 13) should not use Juxtaposition
Should not be on Pretendo Network services altogether, although the Nintendo Network did allow under 13s to access Miiverse.
My suggestion was in place since it’s highly unlikely that it will happen.
I can’t really do anything about it myself, but I don’t think that would be likely at the moment, why don’t you use the public Minecraft community to keep in touch or run your own website with updates?
You’d need a capture card, I think you can get one for ~£20 for Amazon for a 720p60 USB 2 one (they advertise as higher resolutions and USB 3 but in reality, they aren’t; I have one myself and it’s USB 2 and can’t really handle above 720p60).
If there were a way to get a secret community, how would I do it? Or what would I do to earn it
I just see it highly unlikely that’s going to happen in the first place in all honesty. If Pretendo created a community for one person, then lots of other people are going to want a community.
And if they’re children under 13, they probably shouldn’t be on a social media platform (mainly regarding privacy).
Fair. I’ll figure something out
