Since two days ago (since around 14’th of January, 2026), I can no longer connect any game (Splatoon, Mario Kart 8), I receive the error 101-0502. And then I tracked via my MikroTik router, and I found it’s an attempt to connect the server that seems down and doesn’t response on any requests. I tested that from random places and asked people from other countries to ping it - silence.
Is this on Cemu or in a real Wii U?
That’s real Wii U, pure hardware. All the screenshots taken using my capture card.
I’ve modified your post because you had leaked your own public IP in it, which isn’t great. As for the connection issues:
- Pings don’t respond on our game servers even when they are up
- I saw via the previously available public IP that you’re in a country (which I will not name, for security reasons) which is known to block us (and other random services). There’s not really anything we can do about those cases, it just happens sometimes. Given that other users can go online just fine, I can only assume another block happened
I can only say that two days ago I complained a question to technical support of my provider for another reason (random Polish site hosted on German hosting, loads pretty randomly, code and one part of images loads fine, but some other images cause a dead stuck), and they replied that’s are “temporary limitation of entire foreign traffic” is set and they said they don’t know when that will end. But, this provider is already known as a jerkish for this case, people from other providers reported they work just fine.
What about “blocks us", I will say that most of mess is done against CloudFlare rather than you directly. And ye, everything just worked fine until two days ago. For now, I do see random CloudFlare-covered sites also hangs on loading without using of the proxy. I considering about installation of the reserve provider channel, because my current IPS annoys me often, and that’s not because of such blocks. At another flat, they just failed to load a large pile of sites including various local.
As I said before, all the mess started once CloudFlare enforced use of ECH that literally a “bear service" that caused several providers to block any ECH traffic for inability to filter it selectively.
EDIT: On random forum, I found a talk that another absolutely random site that is protected by CloudFlare fails to work. Just since 14th of January, 2026. The same date when that server from above became unavailable.
P.S. No worry about address, it’s a public address that I use for my own server, it’s assigned to my own domain name that is also a mail server domain. The email in my profile literally hosted at my home.
