I have friends who don’t have a Wii U and want to play splatoon. I know that you can’t download an account through pretendo’s website anymore, but only on your console.
Is it allowed to share your files by creating accounts for them? I just want to play with my friends and familiarize myself with Wii U games.
No. This comes under piracy.
If they want to play Splatoon online: buy a Wii U. I haven’t looked at prices in a while but you should be able to get a Wii U and Splatoon for £100 easily. I know it isn’t really feasible for some people and I know it is frustrating, but we do not support piracy.
If any of the accounts get banned, it’s possible that all accounts linked to your console is getting banned.
Unfortunately I live in a country where ebay and other foreign services do not work. Only through the post-relatives you can order and it will be even more expensive in 3-4 times, I have a console bought when it was still officially sold in 2014.
If you really can’t, I won’t create or share accounts anymore.
Pretendo mod here, I understand but we can’t allow discussion of piracy. Regardless of our personal opinions on piracy, it’s not worth allowing it because it’s illegal and it gives Nintendo a chance to take down this project and potentially set a precedence about revival servers in general. I hope you understand why many homebrew projects don’t condone or promote piracy of any form.

Sorry I’m late answering. Yes I got an answer in discord, I just heard that you should write questions here, but I didn’t wait and wrote in discord.
I am not in any way advocating piracy in this community, but just wanted to ask a question regarding the dump file of accounts. I do it only with my close friends and I don’t do it with other people. I’m not going to break the rule of Discord, Juxt (Miiverse) or anywhere else where there are official Pretendo groups or any homebrew community.
