Pretendians, defend your favorite Pokémon game with valid reasons!!
Also, I’m curious what answers there will be, though I know some obvious ones will be Platinum, Emerald, and B/W. Start the debate!
My top 3 Pokémon games are
- Black 2
a. Great story
b. delightful soundtrack
c. vast region and routes
d. fun battles - ORAS
a. did what X&Y did and made it BETTER
b. remixes are fire
c. SO many legendaries to catch
d. Gameplay is really smooth - Platinum
a. again, did what D/P did and made it way better
b. solved many questions from D/P
c. Post-game is by FAR the best in any Pokémon game
d. changed many issues that I had with Diamond
e. also is the best representation of Sinnoh
objectively, i think BW2 and ORAS are some of the best in quality/polish and overall enjoyment of the gameplay. but just because i think they’re best games that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re my favorites…..
because my favorite is 10000000% tied between XY and SM, though i also have a very soft spot for SWSH. my love for XY is mostly nostalgic bias, but what really excites me about SM and SWSH are the human characters tbh? and something about alola and galar just hit the sweet spot for me in a way that a lot of other pokemon regions don’t, but it’s hard to explain why =w=
the 3ds era games also have my favorite soundtracks combined!!
Pokemon Emerald, since it’s the first one I ever played. Still haven’t beat it!
