Account password issues

Hello! I have been a member of the Pretendo network for a while. When I started up my Wii U, it asked me to re-type my password. I typed in my password several times and it says “incorrect password.” This has never happened to me before, and when I go to the official Pretendo website, it works. I am using a Wii U with sssl. If anyone knows anything I should do, please let me know.

Do you have a Nintendo Network ID set as your default account?
If so, then change it to your Pretendo Network ID.

Additionally, can you make sure that your DNS server is still set to Pretendo?

Thank you so much, I just realized I did not have the right DNS server number. I’ll be sure to check that moving forward when I use Pretendo.

I have the EXACT same issue. Does Pretendo have its own secondary DNS? I never know what Secondary DNS to put in when it asks me to. Maybe that’s the issue?

Never mind. I figured it out.

BUT, I still can’t get it to accept my password. I created an ENTIRELY NEW account for Pretendo only, but it won’t accept that my password is right. I made sure that I am connected to Pretendo (using SSSL), but it won’t work. What can I do?

What error code are you getting?

No error code, just it saying “This password is incorrect. Please try again.”

Maybe try resetting your password? Might not do anything but worth a go

Believe it or not. I did.

I changed it via the Pretendo Website, gave it a week in case the servers didn’t update right away, and it still doesn’t work!

It doesn’t work whether I use the old password or the new one

Just to check, does the Wii U support the characters in your new password?

Supported characters are . , ’ _ : ; ` \ / ( ) { } * " ~ & # ? ! @ | $ + - = ^ % alongside alphabetical characters and numerical characters

The password has only lowercase letters and numbers
