Imagine taht you have (X)3ds with Pretendo. Now, you’ve got a better version! But Pretendo does NOT support transfers, do they? Then, hear me out. What if you installed Pretendo and Nimbus on the better version, did a PC data transfer, then tranferred all the files EXCEPT for the older version’s Pretendo and Nimbus files? Could that actually work?
Pretendo has no transfers because Nimbus does not store important data (all files it needs are created when it is launched.) and it would probably be easier to simply log in on the console anyway.
Ok. Now, for the last part, if I wanted to transfer data from the console to another, would it anyways work?
In GM9 you can copy pretty much any file on a 3DS, but when it comes to files such as ones related to you NNID/PNID stuff like this is NOT recommended. Do not attempt anything in that shape or form.
Why isn’t that recommended?
It isn’t easy for most to do and could result in corruption, and that can result in further problems. If you wish to use Pretendo on your 3ds, please always follow the guide from the official Pretendo website. (and for the most part, you simply just can’t. IIRC from other forum posts it’s simply either difficult or can’t be done. I’m recalling a lot of this from memory and I’ll do my best to try and find that post.)
