I believe it was pre-installed on NTSC consoles (I don’t have it on my PAL 3DS), I doubt the app would be very useful as Nintendo Zone is almost definitely discontinued now.

I don’t know. I mean, I know that the Wii is backwards-compatible with GameCube/Nintendo 64 games, but I don’t think a 2DS/3DS would be.

The Wii isn’t backwards compatible with the N64, only GameCube (the Wii supports the majority of GameCube titles but I think there’s about 5 you can’t play + the entire GBA library).

You could also get Super Mario 3D All Stars too.
