since juxt runs on its own domain shouldnt they add a video feature, this would be dope for minecraft, botw and mario kart communities

juxt somewhat supports youtube uploads via mario kart 8.
although only the “Youtube” topic tag will show up on the post. not the video itself for the moment. this will likely be the same for smash 4 in the future?
Videos on Juxt would be amazing! Just think of the implications, sending a funny clip of something that happened in game, sending a video of you speedrunning Minecraft Wii U Edition, etcetera!
too bad, how do you expect this to happen, the Wii U has no native video recording thing, only a few titles that supported YouTube upload (MK8, Art Academy, Smash) had the feature in-game, even then, it seems YouTube doesnt want to work on the Miiverse applet anymore for some reason, maybe it a Google server-side block? Maybe changes in YouTube infrastructure? or Likely the browser is too old.
if youre thinking about an Aroma plugin, too bad about that too, the Wii U just doesnt have that much processing power to actually handle recording in-game, worse, expect it to be uploaded to Juxt easily, since it was never something implemented in nn_olv functions in the first place.
Most videos would never get uploaded either way, even if this feature did exist. The file limits would most likely be extremely small.
Pretendo is a server recreation project.
Original Miiverse never had videos; Juxt will not have videos as the systems never had the capability either.
About the google part on 3ds someone made a youtube port called fourthtube but in a recent update description they said they had to rush a update due to google changing some stuff so that would be why (assuming you could even get past the problems like oudated browsers)
This would be so damn cool, yet is sadly impossible.
Something I can see going wrong here is too many people advertising. Honest to god, i might do the same. I think if it were to happen, permissions could be given to a select number of people who can be trusted with such power.
let me just get to how it would work
someone on HB could make a plugin for video capture.
secondly juxt add feature that allows yt links.
and before yall shoot me down ik all of this is possible we know its possible because of the screenshot plugin,
“storage will be a problem”
juxt will not be affected with storage issues with this method as it is just a link to YT.
“you cant record videos on a wii u !”
yes you can capture card
and ik someone who is working on a recorder plugin
steps on how this works:
record video.
take sd or usb put it into computer and upload footage to yt
tedious? maybe but i do this every day for my yt channel.
I think it is worth mentioning that Juxtaposition is a modern reimagining of Miiverse though.
Miiverse did support videos, but they had to be uploaded to YouTube, as @ImoraPNID has already stated.
so it is possible… niceeeee
I’m pretty sure that is a post done from in-game MK8 when also uploading to YT; not really a video support in Juxt itself.
Did the Wii U or the 3DS actually support this playback? Or did they just try to open the (then-working) YT apps?
It’s been 10 years so I’ve probably forgotten but I think you might have just been able to play it from the applet
This is hard to believe only because o3DS has trouble doing 2 things at once period, and the Wii U still had to have been able to keep a whole game suspended while in Miiverse at the same time (same with 3DS).
Miiverse was on a website too, so I can see web playing the videos just fine. But I doubt the applet (I could be wrong, of course).
I’m not sure about the 3DS, I just recall that being the case on the Wii U.
You could always watch YouTube in the web browser anyways on Wii U, I used to do that due to a seriously dumb restriction on the YouTube app.
“YouTube is not available for anyone under 13” my ass. I was able to access it through the Internet Browser too, thank god, and through my 2DS at the time lol
