Hi everyone, apologies if this is a dumb question, I just set up pretendo today & have limited experience with modded 3ds stuff heh.
My issue is, I am trying to restore my badges on pretendo using the guide at the bottom of this link - https://pretendo.network/docs/install/3ds - however I am a bit confused at step #2 where it says to " Back up your badges at the folder on your SD Card SD:Nintendo 3DS/ID0/ID1/extdata/00000000/000014d1". When I open the “Nintendo 3DS” folder on my SD card, I don’t have any “ID0” folder or any of the ones mentioned after it either. I only see folders titled “Private” and “29b06f48fe3b653ba732f4f48eaffd6”.
Am I meant to create the “ID0/ID1/extdata…” folders myself?? I am not sure why I am missing them. Or is there some sort of program that creates them? If anyone is able to give any help or any eli5 step by step instructions here I would be most grateful lol. Thank you!! ~
Edit: OMG so I am dumb lol. I finally realized the “ID0/ID1” folders were just referring the console’s unique ID numbers. I thought they were literally called ID0 and ID1 lmao. So as for backing up the badges under the folder “000014d1”, does that just mean to copy all the badge PNG files from my SD:Badges" folder, and paste them under “000014d1”?

Hi! After some googling I figured the badges were just whatever data was within the “00014d1” folder, so I made a backup of it on my laptop. In regards to the guide, currently I am on step #12 (“Select Save As to save the modified file separately from the backup.”), but I do not see any option for “Save As” in Advanced Badge Editor? I already changed the NNID to the one I got in SBI, so no issues there. Just trying to figure out how I’m supposed to save the change now haha. Thank you so much, apologies if this post is dumb lol. I’m doing my best here…
It was great that you made a backup just in case as well.
It is strange that you do not see a “Save As” option. I have not used the software, but I assume it may be due to an update or an auto-save. Would you mind, only if you are comfortable with it, sending me a photo of the UI or the File Option?
Here’s what it looks like within Advanced Badge Editor for me, “Save As” doesn’t appear anywhere on the page so I figured it might be under “File” (in the top left), but it’s not there either. The only options under File are “New Data”, “Open Data”, “Save Data”, and “Save Data To…”. Is it one of the save data options?
Side note, all of my badges seem to have had the quantity somehow set to “65535” for some reason. Is it safe to also change the quantity for each of them back to “1”?

Okay thank you very much!! <3 I’ll update again in about 20 minutes or so, it’s looking like I’m going to have to manually edit the quantity of 100 badges for the time being lol. Hoping it should work after saving, if not I’ll let you know. Thank you, seriously!! c:

Another quick side note, I actually ended up having to select “Save Data To…” instead of “Save Data” in Advanced Badge Editor. “Save Data” didn’t allow SBI to read the badge data when I tried to inject it, but “Save Data To…” created files named “BadgeData.dat” and “BadgeMngFile.dat” under sd:/3ds/SimpleBadgeInjector on my SD card, allowing the data to be injected via SBI. Other than that, there were no more issues! c:

So just out of curiosity, after I restored all of my badges onto my pretendo account home page, I switch back to my NNID, and all of the badges there had disappeared (I had seen people online mention this, so I just went to check for myself). I was wondering if you happen to know if it is possible to have the badges show up on both NNID and PNID at the same time? My NNID says I don’t currently have any badges, might I have to redownload them through GYTB? Or would that cause any issues? (Edit: Looking through discord, I saw someone mention they redownloaded their badges via Anemone, would that be fine to do?)
I do believe there is some way to add them back to your NNID, you may have to redownload them, but the safest route is to use Anemone. A redownload could lead to some unexpected issues.

I went back to my PNID too just for funsies and had to get them all through Anemone again lol. Would that mean it is safe to just get them all through Anemone any time you switch between NNID and PNID, if you wish to have them on the home screen? It’s not seeming like it has caused any issues, but I’m technologically challenged, so… lol
