Trying to add friends

For a few days I tried to add some people in my friends list, but the friend code keeps being invalid for some reason, and when I got to add someone, they couldn’t add me back. Is there a way to fix that? I tried a few things but I couldn’t find the root of the issue.

Are you actually connected to Pretendo Network?

Yeah. I mean I can easily get into Juxt if that tells it.

Are your friends on Pretendo too?

Do you get an error code when adding each other?

I think they are on pretendo too. The sole reason of me setting up pretendo network on my console was to be able to add him, because I couldnt do it before but somehow he could?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that no, there is no error code. It just says "the friend code is invalid meanwhile I double checked everything. It doesnt work on anyone at all and it always says the same thing.

Despite being on Pretendo servers…sometimes it doesn’t “fully” switch over.

I would try doing the fix for 022-5432:

  1. Switch to Nintendo in Nimbus
  2. open eShop
  3. switch back to Pretendo
  4. try adding those friends again

It still doesn’t work, unfortunately. I tried it a couple of times, but it still says they are incorrect. Im sorry its such an issue, but I don’t know what I did wrong to not he able to do this.

What is your friend code? I’ll see if it’s a Pretendo one

My Friend code is 3919-3216-0586.

Okay so your friend code is on Pretendo.

That means your friends either:
a. gave you the wrong friend code
b. aren’t on Pretendo themselves (ask them if it says “Loaded” under Pretendo in Nimbus)

Okay, thank you for everything!

Another question, but its unrelated to the problem. Will there ever be a support for Letter box? I really like the idea of being able to communicate with a friend of mine by drawn letters. Again, sorry if its a bother and if I might waste your time here. Its just curiosity.

Eventually, most likely?

If it used NEX, that is almost certainly will.

But games with SpotPass only are different; I don’t even know if SpotPass uses NEX exactly.

Ill look forward to it, if it does! Thanks for the answer.
