Will I lose my game saves if I do this because I have a save file for Splatoon already ( I dumped my Splatoon disc) and I have it on my pretendo SSL account and I really don’t want to lose my game saves it is very important to me.

The save data is retained when you update your game.
Also, your Pretendo SSSL account is still a Pretendo account. You can use that on Inkay still (just undo the DNS settings in Internet Settings because SSSL and Inkay don’t work together)

Wait will my save data from the disc stay on the dumped version
Save data is not on the disc. It’s on the console. And the save data needs to be in the same place (either NAND or USB) where the digital version is installed as well.

@Joshua8600PNID, is it ok if I just use data management to move my save data from my nand to the USB stick
I would not move it because it will entirely replace the Splatoon USB with SPlatoon NAND (aka, remove the installed game) and you would have to re-install it,
Instead, I recommend using the homebrew app SaveMii to backup the NAND one, and “restore” it to the USB listing in the app.

Restore Save Data (restore to the same slot to the same Mii/User)

Does brick only happen to hynix Wii u (error code 160 0103 ) ? Just want to make sure this doesn’t happen to black Wii us with Samsung or Toshiba nand chip (I found out I have Toshiba nand)
Only Hynix chips can have the bug.
Not all Hynix Wii U’s do.
If you have Toshiba, you’re fine.
I also have Toshiba.

How many slots do I select for backup and why does it say no common save but on my user it says I have a save

I just backed up and restored lol.
Btw why can’t I see papaya hud as a plugin, I installed it via the HB app store. Why don’t I see it as a plugin or a app?
