System transfer on modded 2ds to new 3DS

I’ve made a topic about this before but couldn’t find it so I’m remaking it because I just got the new 3DS.

I checked 3dshacksguide and I didn’t get much reassurance on what to do, and no YouTube tutorials are clear on this either.

How can I system transfer from a modded old 2ds to a new 3DS? Should I mod the new 3DS first? If it’s too risky, is it possible to just move a few games?

All I really need to move is tomodachi life and maybe a couple other games. Everything else I can redownload. (Not just the games, but the save data which is most important).

Thanks! And if you find my past topic I made about this you can reply to this on there or merge the posts.

Edit: I used funkyscott47s 3DS modding tutorials to do this and was planning on using his super skater hax video for my new 3DS. Idk if this will be helpful but I just want to mention everything because I cannot afford to screw this up

You could have bumped your old post instead of creating a new one even though it’s marked as solved

Just use 3ds.hacks.guide please, we don’t recommend video guides

It’s recommended to do so afaik

I’m not sure, but you could manually move your games over by dumping them as a CIA and then installing them in FBI (as well as making save data backups on Checkpoint and restoring them on your new console)

Yeah I think I’ll just mod the new 3DS and not do the transfer. Seems too risky for my liking. And I don’t really understand what you mean about the dumping. Can you walk me through how I can move the game data?

3dshacksguide doesn’t seem to have what I’m looking for in terms of moving games or “dumping” them. Thanks
