System crashes when trying to sign in with PNID

Hi! Sorry I’m super new to this -
I can connect to pretendo no problem, but when going into my system settings and clicking on “nintendo network id settings” it shows a black screen and then crashes my system. (attached)

I know its not required for use but I enjoy being connected and its a shame I cant be!

you might have * Bad or incompatible custom firmware (CFW) plugins

  • Corrupted Activity Log data
  • Misconfigured Luma3DS settings
  • Faulty homebrew or system titles
  • SD card errors or corruption

i literally searched up the title id, it says activity log?

000400100002C000 is the TitleID for the NNID Settings application.

Sometimes, things can crash for (seemingly) unrelated things.

  1. Do you have custom keyboard?
  2. Do you have any kind of sysmodule patches (like the LED light?)
  3. are you using only the official build of Luma3DS:
    a. check by searching “Luma” in Universal Updater, and redownloading boot.firm and that will update Luma

That’s not a brick whatsoever, it’s just a system crash.

Hoping the other steps will work but if they don’t, it might be worth the OP trying to perform a system update on NN.

bro my wiiu frozen four time in two hour and still work i think ur going to be ok

Certain “random” crashes, if on a modded Wii U, are likely due to some bad Aroma plugin. (Or, very rarely, bad WaraWara plaza data that gets sent out via BOSS and will only stop when the BOSS data gets a new rotation)

I dont have any custom keyboards or LEDs, but i can 100% redownload luma!

my system has always been really, REALLY slow on startup and recently has flashed a blue screen when i try to boot anything, but then loads right after. I wouldn’t be surprised if something just needs updating or installed improperly when i modded the console back in 2021. will update!

Edit: redownloading Luma (and nimbus, just for good measure) worked!!! thank you !!
