So how would Splatfest work in splatoon?

I was checking out the progress and then I had seen Splatfest in the works, but i couldn’t help but ask how it would function.

It’s probably some sort of like tool they’d use to send the correct data required to make a splatfest into The server.
Idk tho

I would really like that, but I heavily doubt it’s possible without just making it a re-run of a past fest.

I barely know what Splatfests even are, but I do know is that they run off special BOSS (SpotPass) data. So if Pretendo were to host one, they would send out the event data when connecting to the news (like normal when it comes to map rotations), and it would initiate the Splatfest.

Maybe they use a pre existing fest and change the names and icons
