Talk Like a Pirate Day is in a week! 19th o’ Septembarrrrr!

It’s a real holiday. I’m not inventing anything here. It was accidentally invented by two brothers sometime in the 1990s (IIRC). They were playing backyard sports, and one of them got so frustrated on account of him losing, that he started talking like a pirate, and both brothers found this so funny, that they thought, “What if we made a whole holiday around this piratical thing?” They did, and it’s an existing holiday now.

Yeah, we’re aware that exists. As you said, it’s definitely unofficial and I don’t think any devs are responding there afaik.

I’ve had Discourse run on like Opera 12 on Windows 2000 (albeit in a more limited state).

should i put this in support? something weird happened while going on juxt (im using sssl i love the loading screen) it didn’t give me an error about cant connecting to the servers like usual, it says its discontinued. edit: everything else works fine.

No, you can’t access Miiverse on SSSL. That’s intended behaviour.

I do wonder what’s going to happen from this point onwards to be honest. I really need to get some events running (if anyone here has a Matrix account, would you be interested in participating in an event?) soon, we haven’t really done anything since the start of Sizzle Season 2024.

It was a blast playing this Splatfest, I never got to play Final Fest as I got 2 about 2 months after it had happened and I don’t think I really played Callie vs Marie either.

Don’t think there’s any easy way to tell though.

and i live in australia. it’s 10:42 pm for me rn and he lives in a different country and i have to wait until 8 AM. i can barely even wake up so early so unless someone else wakes me up, i will miss out. (idk if the animal crossing clock app on my 2ds xl would work but i might try that as it may be the only way for me to wake up.) and i’m NOT staying up THAT late. i was so tired when i stayed up all night just to make sure i saw when nintendo network shut down…
